SALVATION
Salvation is being rescued from the penalty of sin and from God’s
horrible wrath. YES! God has two sides. He is a loving God, without
a doubt! But He is also a God of wrath. I cannot teach God’s
love and an eternity in Heaven without teaching God’s wrath
(holy anger) and the “everlasting destruction” of
Hell. If I were to do this, I would be a false teacher! I must
be very careful what I teach, for I will be held accountable by
Almighty God!
Salvation is as easy as ABC!
A --- ALL people must ADMIT they are a sinner. Romans
3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory
of God. [KJV] ALL people need salvation!
They must admit they are wrong and God is right! SIN is refusing
to believe and admit just who God really is; and refusing to admit
He is in control; that He does have authority, over us and all
things! Sin will lead to spiritual death, which is Hell.
B --- BELIEVE God! He plainly tells us the only way to Heaven
is through His Son. God tells us there is only ONE WAY to Heaven,
and that is Jesus, His only begotten Son. NO OTHER PERSON, living
or dead can save you. Acts 4:12 Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. [KJV] NO
Godly parents, NO pastor or chaplain, NO pope, NOT ANYONE, except
Jesus! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I
am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me. [KJV] Jesus’ Words! If you want to spend
eternity with God the Father (in Heaven), you must go through
His Son, Jesus! BELIEVE God! John 3:15-18 That
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal
life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he
that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV)
Do you
believe this? Do you believe God?
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him,
to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
(KJV)
If you believe God, and accept His Son as your Saviour and Lord,
you are “born again” spiritually, into God’s
family! God’s wrath is completely removed from you! Only
Jesus can make you God’s child!
C --- COME to Jesus! Open your heart’s door to Him! He
will never force His way in! You must COME willingly to Him, then
COMMIT your life to Him!
A --- Admit you’re a sinner,
repent!
B --- Believe God!
C --- Come to Jesus!
Once you have trusted and accepted Jesus as your Saviour and
Lord, He places your name in the Book of Life. Your name in this
Book assures you that you will NEVER go to Hell! Your name in
this Book assures you that you have a “mansion” that
is “reserved” in your name, waiting for you in Heaven!
(John 14:2; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 20:15).
Introduction
Many, many years ago, the angels of Heaven came to Earth to announce
the birth of Jesus. They also brought with them a promise.
Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and
on earth peace, good will toward men. [KJV] This Promise
as yet, has not been fulfilled. The world searches desperately
for “peace” yet it eludes them. The only “peace”
to be found today is that which is found in the heart of a TRUE
Christian.
Many, many years ago, Jesus taught His disciples to pray: Matthew
6:10 Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
[KJV] Although millions pray these or similar words each and every
day, this prayer has yet to be answered.
Many, many years ago, immediately after the ascension of Jesus
to Heaven, two angels came and made another promise to the disciples: Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee,
why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is
taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as
ye have seen him go into heaven. [KJV] This promise as yet
has not been fulfilled.
Many, many years ago, Jesus made a Promise: Revelation
22:20-A Surely I come
quickly. [KJV] His Promise has not yet been
fulfilled.
Revelation 22:20-B Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
[KJV] This last prayer in the Bible has not yet been answered.
Is God not listening? Either these Promises shall be fulfilled,
OR God is a liar! The Bible plainly states the God is NOT a liar!
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which
God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; [KJV] It is impossible for God to lie! (Hebrews 6:18).
All evangelical Christians believe that all these Promises will
be fulfilled --- to the letter! We are absolutely assured by the
Holy Word of God that Jesus shall return! There are millions who
scoff and say: “He
said He would return, almost two centuries ago, and He still isn’t
here!” That is quite true! The uncertainty of His
return lies with ‘time.’ Our time clock and God’s
time clock are completely different. To us, a year is a l-o-n-g
time; but, to God, time means nothing. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one
day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years
as one day. [KJV] Psalm 90:4 For a thousand
years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as
a watch in the night. [KJV] So you see, the 2000 years that
have past since these words were spoken, are to God, only a “little
while.” Hebrews 10:37 For yet a little
while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
[KJV]
There absolutely shall be “peace on earth”
one day! Our prayer that God’s will be done in Earth as
it is in Heaven shall absolutely be answered one day! Jesus absolutely
shall return “in like manner” as He ascended
into Heaven! He absolutely shall “come quickly,”
not soon (according to our time clock) but exactly when
God’s clock is ready!
The last prayer in the Bible, “come, Lord Jesus”
shall absolutely be answered! Our awesome God is NOT a liar! Everything
He has spoken in His holy Word, shall come to pass, exactly as
He has spoken!
But even though all evangelical Christians believe the Bible,
they all do not agree on details. Satan is there to deceive us.
Jesus warned us about this. Matthew 24:4 And
Jesus answered and said unto them, Take
heed that no man deceive you. [KJV] Luke
21:8 And he said, Take
heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name,
saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore
after them. [KJV] Mark 13:5 And
Jesus answering them began to say, Take
heed lest any man deceive you: [KJV] The
“end of the age” or the “last days”
will be filled with deception! There will be false christs, false
prophets, powerful cults, religious groups, and false doctrines.
Jesus also warned about this. Mark 13:22 For
false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs
and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
[KJV] Let me comfort those of you who are true to Christ; it is NOT possible for Satan or his followers to “seduce”
God’s children! Why? 1 John 4:4 Ye
are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater
is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. [KJV]
Once you belong to God, once you are in His family, you are there
forever! Once saved --- always saved! Praise His Holy Name!
Much of the confusion among believers is ignorance of prophecy.
Even pastors neglect the study of prophecy. There are only a handful
of true Christians who can give an account of the unfulfilled
prophecies. This being so, they don’t know what to look
for.
The confusion is not only among believers. Unbelievers have many
outlooks on the future. Some run to what communism offers. Others
think democracy is definitely the answer to man’s problems.
Yet still others think they (the people) will finally bring forth
peace and prosperity. So many run to religious cults promising
a golden age soon to come. All these millions are dreaming in
vain! God sits in Heaven and laughs. Proverbs 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your
fear cometh; [KJV] Psalm 2:4 He that
sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in
derision. [KJV] Psalm 37:13 The Lord
shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
[KJV] Psalm 59:8 But thou, O Lord, shalt
laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. [KJV]
God holds ALL those without Christ in contempt. He laughs at
their progress in education, science, technology, space travel,
nuclear discoveries, etc. He laughs because there are those who
think they know more than God! How fruitless are their vain attempts
to solve the world’s problems!
This book is to help understand what God has yet in store for
the world. I truly believe that the Bible has the answer to all
our questions about the future. Let us humbly search for the answers,
and thank Him for the awesome God that He is!
LIST OF UNFULFILLED PROPHECIES
Chapter 1
The Rapture (translation of the church)
The Tribulation (time of Jacob’s trouble)
The Battle of Armageddon (page 25)
The Glorious Return of Christ
The Millennial Kingdom (the 1000 years)
Satan’s Last Rebellion
The Last Judgment (the second resurrection)
A New Heaven and New Earth
This is the order of events that are yet to come, according to
God’s Word. These things have not yet happened.
Some of these spectacular events can be broken down into a number
of occurrences, as I will show when coming to that particular
prophecy.
There are some false teachings about the coming of Christ. Let
me say this:
1. Our death is NOT the Second
Coming of Christ. Some people teach that the Second
Coming of Christ occurs each and every time a believer dies. Christ
definitely says: John 14:3 And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive
you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
[KJV] “I will come again”
are His words!
2. The day of Pentecost was NOT the Second Coming of
Christ. Some want us to believe that the return of Christ
was fulfilled at the day of Pentecost. True, the Holy Spirit did
come that day, just as Christ had promised, but NOT the physical
Presence of Christ Himself. This belief is NOT true to what the
Bible states.
Others teach that Christ returned at the fall of Jerusalem in
70 AD. Why then was the church still looking for Him? Revelation
22:20-B Even so, come, Lord Jesus. [KJV]
The New Testament declares three notable certainties:
- (1.) Christ Jesus, the Son of God, came down
to Earth from Heaven, and went back again to Heaven, where He
is now.
- (2.) The Holy Spirit came down to Earth from
Heaven, and is still here, dwelling in all believers.
- (3.) Jesus, the Christ (Messiah) is coming back
again to Earth.
Let us further discuss these facts: FIRST; Christ came to the Earth and has gone back to Heaven. How absolutely
marvelous this is! We were visited by our Creator! But, while
He was here that first time, His glory was veiled in the respect
that He took on the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness
of sinful man, yet without sin! Acts 2:23 Him,
being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of
God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
[KJV] He
went to the cross for us! 1 Peter
2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body
on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed. [KJV] WHY did Christ go
back to Heaven? Because the world rejected Him! Men despised Him
--- but God highly esteemed and exalted Him!
SECOND; God the
Holy Spirit came to Earth, and is still here. Romans 5:20-B . . . But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
[KJV]
The Holy Spirit came the day of Pentecost and dwells within each
and every believer. His job in the unbelieving world is to convict
them of sin, the sin of rejecting the Son of God. John
16:8-9 And when he is come, he will reprove the world
of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] Of sin, because
they believe not on me; [KJV]
THIRD; our Lord
Jesus is coming back again! The first Promise was given in Genesis
3:15 when He speaks of His return to “bruise Satan’s
head.” The last recorded Words of our Lord are: Revelation
22:20 Surely I come
quickly. [KJV]
From the beginning of the Bible, to the very end, with many times
in between, Jesus promises us He will return! Just as the first
coming of Jesus was literal, and the Holy Spirit is literal, so
too will be the Second Coming of Christ be literal.
The Second Coming of Christ will be in two stages:
- (1) in grace at the Rapture for all those who
believe on Him. He will come in the air, unseen by the world
(unbelievers).
- (2) In judgment of unbelievers. In this 2nd
stage, every eye will see Him. In the 1st stage, He comes FOR
His saints. In the 2nd stage, He comes WITH His Saints! Unless
you distinguish between these two stages of His “coming,”
you will have difficulty understanding as you study about prophetic
Scriptures.
THE RAPTURE Chapter 2
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not
have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,
that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. [14] For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also
which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we
say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive
and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them
which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with
the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17]
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with
these words. [KJV] The FIRST of the eight end-time occurrences
that will fulfill prophecy will be the Rapture, or the translation
of the saints.
There are two very important facts about this great event:
- The Rapture is imminent; meaning that it could
happen at any moment. We should not predict the time, for only
God Himself knows that! Matthew 24:36 But
of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven,
but my Father only. [KJV]
- The Rapture will be discriminating, meaning that it will include
only believers in Christ. So, what will happen on this remarkable
day? The Lord Himself (JESUS), shall descend from Heaven, but
He will not come to Earth. Verse 17 plainly states this. Jesus
will remain in the air --- up in the clouds, The “dead
in Christ” (those who believe that Jesus died and rose
again) shall rise. This means ALL saints who have died shall be
called up into the clouds to be with their Master. ALL the dead
Christians shall go first!
Then “we which are alive” shall be caught up together
with them in the air, where we shall meet our Lord Face to face,
and forever be with Him. But wait --- there’s more!
1 Cor. 15:51-53 Behold, I shew you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a
moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on
incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (KJV) We all shall be changed!
We cannot enter into Heaven with our present bodies. Those in
the graves shall be called up and instantly they shall have new
heavenly bodies. Those Christians living when Jesus comes, will
not experience death; but be as Enoch and Elijah, who were caught
up into Heaven. These believers too receive new heavenly bodies.
Philip. 3:21 Who shall change our vile body,
that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according
to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto
himself. [KJV] I look forward to this day! I will NEVER sin
again, ever after I receive my new Christ-like body!
Rapture
will be very selective
Matthew 24:37-41 But
as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be. [38] For as in the days that were before the flood they
were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until
the day that Noe entered into the ark, [39] And knew not until
the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming
of the Son of man be. [40] Then shall two be in the field; the
one shall be taken, and the other left. [41] Two women shall be
grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [KJV] Jesus tells us the state of the old world when the great
Flood came. People felt secure, they were careless; they did not
believe the urgent pleas of Noah. Then, the flood came, and destroyed
everything, except those in the ark! That “ark” represents
Christ! Only those in the ark (Noah and his family) were safe.
At the Rapture, it will be a similar condition; only those “in
Christ” will be safe; only they will be called to join
Jesus in the air.
All earthly things must shortly pass away, so we should not set
our eyes and hearts on them as many do. Words cannot describe
the suddenness of our Saviour’s coming! Men and women will
be at their specific jobs; suddenly the Lord of glory shall appear! It’s the
Lord! He’s here! Am I ready to meet Him? Can I stand before
Him?
I believe the Judgment Seat of Christ shall take place when we
are called in the air, to be with Christ. Are
you ready? ready to stand alone before Him? You are assured
of Heaven if you know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. But
--- will you receive rewards or loose them?
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear
before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive
the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether
it be good or bad. [KJV] Eternal life in Heaven is a free
gift given on the basis of God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).
But, each and every believer will still be judged by Christ. This
judgment will reward us for how we have lived our life here on
Earth. God’s gracious gift of salvation does NOT free us
from the requirement of being faithful and obedient. All Christians
must give account for how they have lived.
1 Corinthians 3:13-15 Every man's work shall
be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall
be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of
what sort it is. [14] If any man's work abide which he hath built
thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [15] If any man's work shall
be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved;
yet so as by fire. [KJV] Only the things we do for Christ
will stand.
WHAT WILL
CHRIST JUDGE??
- How we treat other believers. Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous
to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed
toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and
do minister. [KJV]
- How we exercise our authority over others.
Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over
you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as
they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and
not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. (KJV)
How we use our God given abilities. 1 Peter 4:10 As every man
hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another,
as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (KJV)
- How we spend our time. 1 Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons
judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your
sojourning here in fear: (KJV)
- How we use our money. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not
highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living
God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; [18] That they
do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute,
willing to communicate; [19] Laying up in store for themselves
a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay
hold on eternal life. [KJV]
- How we run our race. Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling
of God in Christ Jesus. [KJV]
- How we control our old nature. Ephesians
4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation
the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
(KJV)
- How many people we witness to. Daniel
12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness
of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as
the stars for ever and ever. [KJV]
- How we react to temptation. James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
[3] Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. [KJV]
- How much the coming of Christ means
to you. 2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid
up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto
all them also that love his appearing. [KJV]
- How much we suffer for Jesus. Matthew
5:11-12 Blessed are
ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall
say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12]
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in
heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before
you. [KJV]
- How faithful are we to God’s Word
and God’s people. 1 Peter 5:2-4 Feed the
flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof,
not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but
of a ready mind; [3] Neither as being lords over God's heritage,
but being ensamples to the flock. [4] And when the chief Shepherd
shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth
not away. (KJV)
- How much you think of Christ. Matthew
10:41-42 He that
receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a
prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the
name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
[42] And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little
ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily
I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. [KJV]
- How we use words. Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every
idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof
in the day of judgment. [KJV]
- How we treat God’s land and animals.
Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness
thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. [KJV]
- What motives make you serve God. 1 Cor.3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall
declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire
shall try every man's work of what sort it is. [KJV]
These are some things that will be brought up at the Judgment
Seat of Christ. I’m sure there are more. Anyone “in
Christ” is assured of Heaven. The Judgment Seat of
Christ is to decide rewards or loss of rewards you/we could have
had. I believe there are various degrees of Heaven and Hell. How
we live now will decide our eternal future. Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for
ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
[KJV]
The word ‘rapture’ is NOT in the
Bible, but its doctrine is! It means ‘to be caught away’
or ‘snatched up.’ That is exactly what will happen
when the Rapture takes place. God’s people (His sheep) will
be taken out of this world of sin and wickedness and taken to
Heaven.
Some teach that there will be only a ‘partial’ or
split Rapture. They say that only the very best Christians will
be translated to Heaven, while the not-so-good Christians will
be left behind. I cannot find any Scripture anywhere on which
they base this falsehood. There is no Scripture to support this
theory because it is impossible to split up the Body of Christ
(the true church). True, there are some ‘sheep’ who
are not as white as others. Some have backslidden terribly, and
there are many who do not serve our Lord as they should; but as
we learned from the Judgment Seat, they will stand before Christ
one day and have to explain to Jesus why they did certain things
they knew they shouldn’t do, and why they didn’t do
things they knew they should do.
I think God’s Word makes it quite clear that ALL beleivers
will be raptured at the same time. Do NOT listen to anyone who
tells you that unless you can speak in tongues, or unless you
keep a certain day to worship, or unless you belong to a certain
denomination, you will not be raptured. They
are WRONG! Only one thing qualifies a believer
for the Rapture and that is being washed in the Blood of the Lamb.
If you are God’s child (John 1:12-13), you shall be included
in the Rapture.
THE GREAT
TRIBULATION Chapter 3
The SECOND of the eight end-time occurrences that will fulfill
prophecy will be the Tribulation. So far we have seen that Christ
could come for His church at any minute. Once we become God’s
children, it is very important that we look for His Coming. Hebrews
9:28 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way
into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the
first tabernacle was yet standing: (KJV)
If the church were to be raptured today, the Tribulation period
would begin immediately. Once the church is in Heaven,
God’s wrath will begin. Revelation 6:17 For
the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? [KJV]
Some people think the church will go through the Tribulation.
I think there are ample Scriptures to prove they are WRONG! Revelation
3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience,
I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall
come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. [KJV] 1 Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for
his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus,
which delivered us from the wrath to come. [KJV] John
5:24 Verily, verily,
I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him
that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life. [KJV] Luke 21:36 Watch
ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy
to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand
before the Son of man. [KJV]
The TRUE church will NOT go through God’s
wrath (Tribulation). Jesus took God’s wrath against us to
the cross with Him. He would never be so unjust as to subject
us to God’s wrath the second time!
Christ assures us that TRUE believers will escape the horrible
Tribulation period. We are not talking about those so-called hypocrites
who say they are Christians with their mouth but their heart is
far from Him. Matthew 15:8 This
people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me
with their lips; but their heart is far from me. [KJV]
Jesus shall denounce these ‘Pharisees of our day.’ Matthew 7:21-23 Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which
is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast
out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And
then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity. [KJV] You may be able
to fool those around you, but you will NEVER fool Jesus! If you do not have Jesus in your heart; if you do
not love Him above and beyond all things and people, you will
not be called out at the Rapture.
The Great Tribulation can actually be broken down into
five different segments or occurrences:
- The
rise of the Antichrist and the false prophet.
- The invasion from
the north.
- A one-world church
and government.
- Persecution of
the Jews.
- The fall of the
Antichrist and the false prophet.
The
rise of the Antichrist.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive
you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come
a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son
of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all
that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth
in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. [KJV]
These verses give us a glimmer of when the Rapture will take place.
There will be “a falling away” from God. Apostasy!
Is this not happening today?
2 Timothy 3:1-5 This know also, that in
the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be
lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural
affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded,
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form
of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (KJV)
2 Thes. 2:8-10 And then shall that Wicked
be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his
mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9]
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all
power and signs and lying wonders, [10] And with all deceivableness
of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received
not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (KJV)
This dreadful, deceiving man has many names in Scripture: the
“man of sin,” “the beast,” “the
willful king,” the “little horn,” the “king
of fierce countenance,” the “antichrist.” He
will be a very powerful world leader, under the control of Satan.
He will make his entrance as a kind, loving and caring person
who wants peace. He will make a peace treaty with Israel for 7
years, but mid-way (Daniel 9:27) he will break the treaty and
show his true colors, causing Israel to stop all worship in the
temple. He then will set up an “abomination of desolation”
in the holy temple of God (Daniel 12:11; Rev.13:15; Matthew 24:15).
From here on, he will get worse and worse.
The Invasion
From the North.
The prophet Ezekiel (chapters 38-39) describes a future attack
on Israel that will come from the north (most likely Russia).
There will come a time when Israel will feel completely at ease,
probably in the peace agreement made by Antichrist. It will be
at this most vulnerable time that Israel will be invaded. Great
armies will come rushing in, sweeping across their borders, catching
Israel off guard.
Ezekiel 38:18-23 And it shall come to pass
at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel,
saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face. [19]
For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken,
Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land
of Israel; [20] So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of
the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things
that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face
of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall
be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall
shall fall to the ground. [21] And I will call for a sword against
him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man's
sword shall be against his brother. [22] And I will plead against
him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him,
and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him,
an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
[23] Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will
be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that
I am the Lord. (KJV)
There are many people today who think that the Jews are no longer
God’s chosen people. This
is absolutely FALSE! The nation Israel is still
God’s chosen people, and always will be! In this attack
on Israel, God will be the Victor!
Ezekiel 39:19-22 And ye shall eat fat till
ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice
which I have sacrificed for you. [20] Thus ye shall be filled
at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with
all men of war, saith the Lord God. [21] And I will set my glory
among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that
I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. [22]
So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God
from that day and forward. (KJV)
When God comes to the rescue of Israel and destroys the hordes
from the north, the Antichrist will then dominate the world.
One World
Church and Government.
In the 13th chapter of Revelation, we are presented with two
“beasts.” The first beast is found in Revelation 13:1.
His heads, horns and crowns symbolize his power. This is the Antichrist
who shall rule the world. He is the political Antichrist. ‘Anti’
means against, instead of, or in place of. He will be totally
against Christ yet he will imitate Christ. He will be a most evil
ruler who shall blaspheme God, God’s Name, God’s Temple,
God’s people --- anything that belongs to God (Rev.13:5-6).
We are speeding to the day that the world will be under his horrible
man’s rule. He will insist that ALL people receive his mark
on their right hand or forehead (Rev.13:16-17). Anyone who refuses
the mark will not be able to do any kind of business whatsoever;
buying food or clothing or anything else, selling anything, doctors
or hospitals. Nothing will be done without his mark. Many who
refuse his mark will be killed. BUT, anyone who accepts this mark
(666), have a one way ticket to Hell (Rev.14:9-10).
The second
“beast” is found in Rev.13:11.
This man also is antichrist. This is the False Prophet. This
False Prophet is the ‘religious’ antichrist. This
man also is controlled by Satan. He will perform “great
wonders” including making an image, and giving it power
to speak; which he will place in the Temple of God (the “abomination
of desolation” Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15). Their power
will last 42 months, 3 1/2 years.
Persecution
of the Jews.
During the Tribulation period, the Jews shall experience the
most vicious and extreme persecution of their history. Matthew
24:21 For then shall
be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the
world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [KJV] The judgments that God sends on the world at that time will
be horrendous. He will start with the 7 “seal” judgments,
then the 7 “trumpet” judgments followed by the 7 “bowl
or vial” judgments. The severity of the judgments worsen
with each set of 7’s. Each plague will be followed by one
more severe. The world has never seen times like those which will
take place in the Tribulation. There are not enough words to describe
the horrors. Two thirds of the Jewish population will die in this
time (Zechariah 13:8). Many Jews will turn to Christ at this time,
and so many of those believers shall be martyred (Rev. 7:9-17).
If you do not know Jesus as your personal Saviour and Lord, please
do not put it off any longer.
For if He comes at the Rapture for His own, this terrible time
of judgment (Tribulation) will start immediately after Jesus calls
God’s children home.
The horrors of this time can be avoided should Jesus come today!
Believe God, trust Jesus to save you from sin and God’s
terrible wrath that will most certainly come!
The Fall
of Antichrist.
Armageddon is not just a single battle, but a war! Antichrist
hates the Jews (God’s people). Armageddon will most likely
be triggered by Russia coming down from the north to invade Israel.
This war will probably extend the length of Palestine. ALL nations
shall go up against Israel at this time. When this happens, the
Lord will go out to fight against those nations, as He has in
times past. On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
which faces Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will split
apart, creating a wide valley running from east to west. Half
the mountain will move to the north and half to the south. Then
the Lord Jesus shall come, and all His holy ones with Him (Rev.19:11-14),
and ALL eyes shall behold Him! He shall fight against all those
nations. And the Lord shall be King over all the Earth. In that
day there shall be one Lord, and his Name one. (Zechariah 14:2-9).
Jesus will have complete victory! Out of His mouth shall come
a “sharp sword” with which He shall “smite
the nations.” Then Jesus will put an end to the rule of
Antichrist. He will never rise again.
Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken,
and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him,
with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the
beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast
alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (KJV)
And the beast (Antichrist) was captured, and with him the false
prophet who did mighty miracles in Satan's power, and deceived
all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his
statue. Both the beast and the false prophet were thrown alive
into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
The GLORIOUS RETURN
OF CHRIST Chapter 4
The horrendous period known as the Great Tribulation will come
to a dramatic conclusion when our Lord Jesus returns.
Revelation 19:11-14 And I saw heaven opened,
and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called
Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make
war. [12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were
many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but
he himself. [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:
and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which
were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine
linen, white and clean. [KJV] This will be a spectacular
entrance to say the least! This part of His return will not be
hidden to most of the people, as was the first part --- the Rapture.
When Jesus makes His entrance this time, ALL eyes will see Him!
Zechariah 12:10-11 And I will pour upon
the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the
spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon
me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one
mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him,
as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. [11] In that day
shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning
of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. (KJV)
The moment that the Feet of Jesus,
our precious Saviour and Lord, touch the Mount of Olives, something
spectacular takes place!
Zechariah 14:4 And his feet shall stand
in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem
on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst
thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be
a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward
the north, and half of it toward the south. (KJV) What a
blessing this will be for all those who shall witness this amazing
event. I can’t even begin to visualize what will take place
on that day. I can imagine it will also be similar to an earthquake!
What an awesome day this will be!
Zechariah 14:8-9 And it shall be in that
day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them
toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea:
in summer and in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be
king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord,
and his name one. (KJV) I truly do look forward to this day
when there shall be “one Lord” and “His name
alone will be worshipped.” It is not so as I sit here writing
this today.
Matthew 25:34 Then
shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed
of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation
of the world: [KJV] I desperately pray that
you are one of those “on His right hand”
because all the rest are bound for Hell. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto
them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting
fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
[KJV]
The JUDGMENTS,
of ISRAEL and the NATIONS
Chapter
5
This will not include the church (the Body of Christ). They were
raptured about 7 years before this time, and they stood before
the Judgment Seat of Christ..
I think there will be two judgments when Christ returns to Earth:
1. Judgment of Israel, and 2. Judgment of the nations (Gentiles).
Judgment of Israel.
Ezekiel 20:42-44 And ye shall know that
I am the Lord, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel,
into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it
to your fathers. [43] And there shall ye remember your ways, and
all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe
yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.
[44] And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have wrought
with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways,
nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith
the Lord God. [KJV] Christ (Messiah) shall decide who qualifies
for His Kingdom, and what roles they will have. The cleansed remnant
will become citizens of Palestine.
Judgment
of the Nations (Non-Jews).
Matthew 25:31-46 When
the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels
with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: [32]
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the
goats: [33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but
the goats on the left. [34] Then shall the King say unto them
on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: [35]
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and
ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: [36] Naked,
and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison,
and ye came unto me. [37] Then shall the righteous answer him,
saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty,
and gave thee drink? [38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took
thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? [39] Or when saw we thee
sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? [40] And the King shall
answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye
have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have
done it unto me. [41] Then shall he say also unto them on the
left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared
for the devil and his angels: [42] For I was an hungred, and ye
gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: [43]
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed
me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. [44] Then
shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee? [45] Then shall he answer them,
saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one
of the least of these, ye did it not to me. [46] And these shall
go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life
eternal. [KJV]
God the Father has placed Christ in charge. Christ shall judge
Israel and the nations. There are those who think God the Father
will be the Judge. I think the following verses confirm that Jesus,
not the Father shall be Judge. John 5:22 For
the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto
the Son: [KJV]
Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day,
in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that
man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto
all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. [KJV]
Romans 2:16 In the day when God shall judge
the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. [KJV]
2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before
God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and
the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; [KJV]
God the Father has given Christ Jesus all power (Matthew 28:18).
We need to remember that God the Father, God the Son and God the
Holy Spirit are ONE! We worship a triune God, NOT three separate
Gods. They are three distinct Persons, yes, yet they all are in
complete agreement of everything. Each Person has their own specific
tasks, and judgment mentioned above is one of the tasks of our
Lord Jesus. He will be absolutely fair and just in determining
who will go to eternal Hell and who will enter the Millennium.
The MILLENNIUM
Chapter 6
The word ‘millennium’ is not in the Bible. Neither
is the word ‘rapture,’ but the Bible clearly teaches
both doctrines. The Bible calls the Millennium, the 1000 years
only in the book of Revelation: chapter 20: 2,3,4,5,6, & 7.
But the prophets speak of it many times.
At Christ’s second coming, He will initiate this 1000 year
reign on Earth, where He shall be King of kings and Lord of lords.
This period will be the Kingdom of Heaven upon Earth! Let’s
consider some of the facts about this era.
Restoration of Nature.
The undefiled beauty of Earth will be completely restored. Isaiah
11:6-8 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and
the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the
young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall
lead them. [7] And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young
ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like
the ox. [8] And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the
asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice'
den. [KJV]
Isaiah 30:25-26 And there shall be upon
every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams
of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
[26] Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the
sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light
of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach
of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. (KJV)
In that day, there will be streams of water flowing down every
mountain and hill. The moon will be as bright as the sun, and
the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven
days! So it will be when the Lord begins to heal His people and
cure the wounds He gave them.
Isaiah 35:1-7 The wilderness and the solitary
place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and
blossom as the rose. [2] It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice
even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given
unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the
glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God. [3] Strengthen
ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. [4] Say to them
that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your
God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will
come and save you. [5] Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. [6] Then shall the
lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for
in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
[7] And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty
land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each
lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. (KJV) Even the
wilderness will rejoice in those days. The desert will bloom with
an abundance of flowers. There will be singing and joy! The deserts
will become green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount
Carmel's pastures and the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will
display His glory, the splendor of our God. There will be no more
fear, for God will destroy your enemies. He is coming to save
you, and when He comes, He will open the eyes of the blind and
the deaf shall hear. The lame will leap like a deer, and those
who cannot speak will shout and sing! Springs will gush forth
in the wilderness, and streams will water the desert. The parched
ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the
thirsty land. Grass, reeds and rushes will flourish where desert
jackals once lived.
Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a
covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls
of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will
break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and
will make them to lie down safely. [KJV] This period will
be as the Garden of Eden before the fall of man.
The End of Physical
Suffering.
Anyone entering this 1000 year period with any deformity will
be healed. Lifespans will greatly lengthened. There will be no
more divorce, for all marriages will be happy ones, not as today
when divorce is rampant and live-ins is common. When people reject
God and His Word, all kinds of evil takes place. In the millennium,
all will be well because Jesus shall be in charge of everything.
Isaiah 35:5-6 Then the eyes of the blind
shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
[6] Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of
the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and
streams in the desert. [KJV]
Isaiah 65:22 They shall not build,
and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for
as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect
shall long enjoy the work of their hands. [KJV] Everyone
shall work to support themselves. No more welfare roles!
Jeremiah 33:11 The voice of joy, and the
voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice
of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord
of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever:
and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the
house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of
the land, as at the first, saith the Lord. [KJV] Happy
marriages!
Zechariah 8:5 And the streets of the city
shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
[KJV] No more homeless children!
No More Sickness.
Isaiah 33:24 And the inhabitant shall not
say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven
their iniquity. [KJV] All will be healthy!
No More poverty.
Micah 4:4 But they shall sit every man under
his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid:
for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it. [KJV] No fear of danger or evil.
Peace and Justice.
Isaiah 2:3-4 And many people shall go and
say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to
the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways,
and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth
the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. [4] And he shall
judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they
shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into
pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither
shall they learn war any more. (KJV) Many people will come
and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the Temple of the God of Israel. There He will teach us His
ways, so that we may obey Him." For in those days the Lord's
teaching and His Word will go out from Jerusalem. The Lord will
settle international disputes. All the nations will beat their
swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. All
wars will stop, and military training will come to an end.
Isaiah 11:4-5 But with righteousness shall
he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the
earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. [5]
And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness
the girdle of his reins. [KJV] The only ones who
will become sick and die in this time, are those who rebel against
Christ and His rule.
Zechariah 3:10 In that day, saith the Lord
of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine
and under the fig tree. [KJV] Red, yellow, black
or white --- they ALL will be friends and neighbors, and ALL will
be loved as they should be; NOT as it is in today’s time!
No racial prejudice whatsoever!
Spiritual Worship.
Malachi 1:11 For from the rising of the
sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great
among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered
unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great
among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts. (KJV) God's Name
shall be honored and worshipped by people of other nations, not
like today. All people shall worship Him in spirit and truth and
honor His Holy Name, NOT like the blasphemy of today! For His
Name shall be great among the nations.
Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass,
that every one that is left of all the nations which came against
Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King,
the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. [KJV] In this Millennial Kingdom, ALL people, Jews and Gentiles
(non-Jews) alike, will love the Lord and will worship Him with
glad and grateful hearts. The true purpose for God’s creating
the Earth and mankind shall at last be realized! This Kingdom
shall flourish and abound under the iron hand of Christ (Rev.12:5). No one shall dare to disobey Him.
Multitudes (both Jews and Gentiles) shall enter the Millennium
after the Tribulation, in their natural bodies, not having died.
There will be millions born in this period. This Millennium is
a time of testing under perfect conditions. Can you imagine? perfect
conditions? How could this be?
Revelation 20:1-3 And I saw an angel come
down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great
chain in his hand. [2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old
serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand
years, [3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him
up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations
no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after
that he must be loosed a little season. (KJV) Then John saw
an angel come down from Heaven with the key to the bottomless
pit and a heavy chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, that
old serpent, the Devil, Satan; and bound him in chains for a thousand
years. The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, and shut and
locked it so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until
the thousand years were finished. Afterward he would be released
again for a little while. Christ, with Almighty power, will keep
the devil from deceiving mankind in the 1000 year period, as he
does today. As you see, a single, solitary angel takes hold of
Satan and casts him securely into the “bottomless pit”
(or abyss). The Abyss represents the holding place of the demons
and Satan, the king of demons. Christ gives the angel power to
chain, shut up and seal the devil. The world shall have a time
of peace and prosperity, but her trials are not over yet!
The Lord will have Satan, the old devil, incarcerated for that
special one thousand years (the millennium), because the perfection
and peace and tranquility and truth and justice of this time could
not take place with him on the loose.
Revelation 20:4-5 And I saw thrones, and
they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw
the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,
and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast,
neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand
years. [5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the
thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. [KJV] MANY are going to suffer and die for Christ in the Tribulation.
But at the judgment of Israel and the nations, those who were
martyred for Christ, will be resurrected and will reign with Christ
for the 1000 years. ONLY those in the FIRST resurrection will
be given this privilege. Anyone who rejects Christ at any time;
anyone who accepts the “mark of the beast” in the
Tribulation, will be in the SECOND resurrection. These ALL are
bound for Hell.
SATAN’S LAST
REBELLION Chapter 7
Revelation 20:7-9 And when the thousand
years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, [8]
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four
quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together
to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. [9] And
they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp
of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down
from God out of heaven, and devoured them. [KJV] Because
there will be no disease, and no death (except for disobedience
to Jesus), there will be multitudes born in the 1000 year period;
enough that they will be as “the sand of the sea.” Even during
this idealistic age, some people are so perverse, they will obey
the Lord only because they are afraid not to. When Satan
is freed from his ‘jail’ he will immediately go out
to “deceive the nations” once again! “Gog
and Magog” symbolize all the forces of evil that band
together to battle against God. There will be another battle.
This battle’s outcome will not be in doubt a single moment!
There will be no contest whatsoever! The forces of Satan will
do battle against God and those loyal to Him. Fire from Heaven
devours Satan and his attacking armies. For
God, it is just as easy as that! Those loyal to
the Lord will have no doubt, no worry or no second thoughts about
whether they have chosen the right side or not. If you are God’s
child, you will experience this awesome victory with Christ.
Some people think this final rebellion and battle is the one
in Ezekiel, chapters 38th & 39th. I don’t agree, although
I’m not an expert on the subject. The only similarities
are the names “Gog and Magog.” The invasion
from the north mentioned in Ezekiel will break the false peace
treaty made by the Antichrist, causing him to show his true colors
during the middle of the Tribulation.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived
them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast
and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night
for ever and ever. [KJV]
These words are solemn TRUTH! There
are more and more people who think God is love, and He will not
send anyone to Hell. They are wrong. Your decision to
reject Christ as your Saviour and Lord is what sends you to Hell!
ALL God’s enemies will go to Hell! You are God’s enemy
without Jesus! Satan and ALL God’s enemies will receive
permanent (eternal) justice, in Hell.
Many people today think that Satan is in Hell. He is not. Neither
is anyone else --- yet! The beast and the False Prophet will be
the first to be thrown into Hell (Rev.19:20). Today’s Hell
is “Hades,” the holding place for all lost souls which
will be emptied when “death and hell deliver up its dead”
at the Great White Throne Judgment (Rev.20:13). Hell is a literal
place and it is also a condition. It is a place of conscious torment
that never ceases (Luke 16:19-26). No matter how much you dislike
or disprove, this is Truth! You cannot change that fact.
THE LAST JUDGMENT
Chapter 8
Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white
throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and
the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. [12]
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the
books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book
of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea
gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered
up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into
the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake
of fire. [KJV] This will be the “second resurrection”
or the resurrection of the unsaved dead. All those who have rejected
Christ, for whatever reason, will stand before this frightening
Throne. Many think: “I’ll wait a while, I’m
just not ready to make this decision yet.” My friend, you
have already made a decision! And it’s the wrong one! You
have decided to stay in the family of the devil.
Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked
according to the course of this world, according to the prince
of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children
of disobedience: [KJV] Satan has “power of the air.”
Satan is the temporary ruler of an evil spiritual kingdom; he
controls demons, and people who are against Christ. In His resurrection,
Christ was victorious over Satan and his power, for He is the
permanent ruler of the whole world. Satan rules only temporarily
over the part of the world that chooses to follow him. Unbelievers
(the wicked) are slaves to Satan. Satan is the producer of the
proud, arrogant disposition in ungodly men for he rules their
hearts.
We ALL begin as unsaved sinners, prone to sensual or to spiritual
wickedness; for we ALL are by nature children of disobedience
and children of wrath. But God has made a better way available
for all who are interested. If we earnestly seek for God’s
grace; we no longer will be children of wrath, but children of
God and heirs of glory! God’s eternal love toward His creatures,
is the fountain of all His mercies that flow out to us; and God’s
love is great love, and His mercy is rich! Every converted sinner
is a saved sinner; delivered from sin and wrath. NO “saved”
sinners will be among the “second resurrection.” Our
faith, our conversion, and our eternal salvation, come NOT from
any works which we do, lest any man should boast (Ephes.2:8-9).
All is the free gift of God, and the consequence of being quickened
by His power.
ALL who stand before the “Great White Throne”
will absolutely receive a fair and just hearing. All will have
the right to present their works. But, there are things you will
have forgotten or wanted to forget. They too will be brought to
light. You will have to present ALL your deeds; nothing will be
kept secret. God states that what you have done is written in
“books.” And those books will be opened!
You will account for every sin! When a believer stands before
the Judge, he will not have to account for sins because the Blood
of Jesus has made them as white as snow. But an unbeliever (someone
without Jesus) will be held responsible for EVERY sin!
Yet another “Book” shall be opened, and
that is the “Book of Life.” If your
name is not in that book, your eternal destination is Hell. How
does your name get into that precious Book? The moment you repent
and turn to Christ as your Saviour and Lord, it goes in. But,
your acceptance must be heart felt and sincere. You cannot fool
God!
“And the sea gave up the dead.” Many people
have gone to a watery grave, and many more have been consumed
by fire. This will NOT restrict God from resurrecting those bodies.
Every person who has ever lived will be resurrected --- either
in the “first” (saved people) or “second”
(lost people or unbelievers) resurrection. God created everything
that is, out of nothing, and He will have NO problem putting the
tiny atoms (fragments) back together again.
This will be one terrible day:
the Judge, the Lord Jesus Christ, will be clothed with awesome
majesty and all-seeing power. ALL those in the 2nd resurrection
are doomed to Hell. NO second chance.
John 12:48 He
that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth
him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in
the last day. [KJV] Jesus’
Words.
Closely linked with Satan’s final rebellion and final judgment
is the destruction of the Earth as we know it.
Rev. 20:11 And I saw a great white throne,
and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven
fled away; and there was found no place for them. [KJV]
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will
come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass
away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent
heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned
up. [KJV]
Isaiah 24:19 The earth is utterly broken
down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
[KJV]
Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall
be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll:
and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from
the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. (KJV) The
sun, moon, and stars will crumble to dust. The sky will disappear
like a scroll being rolled up, and the stars will fall like leaves
dropping from a vine or a fig tree.
Isaiah 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish
away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and
they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation
shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. [KJV]
With all these specific Scripture references so plainly
stating the termination of this Earth, there are still some hard-headed
people (cults) that insist this will never happen. My friend,
this absolutely will happen, just as God has stated in His awesome
Book. Anyone who isn’t a fool, can open the Bible and read
for themselves. God tells us many things and tells us exactly
how they will happen. We simply have the desire to know, and must
be willing to find out the Truth. God wants us to know, that we
might be ever so watchful for Jesus’ second coming.
The destruction of this Earth and
heavens as we know it, will be as nothing less than the worst
devastation known to man. The “noise” will be deafening!
The heat will be indescribable, for the “elements shall
melt together.” Just think of all the things that surround
us: trees, mountains, buildings, vehicles, animals, etc. Everything
will be gone! Melted together! We have polluted and misused this
Earth. We are NOT good stewards! When God destroys this Earth,
it will be a tremendous event. “The earth also and the works
therein shall be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10). Just think of
all the water that is on this Earth! It too, shall all be burned
up!
There
are many “scoffers” who say:“Where is the Lord?
He’s been saying He’s coming back for centuries. He’s
not here yet!” They think “all things will continue
as they were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:4).
Knowing that the Earth will be burned up, we should put our trust
in what is lasting and eternal, not in the world’s treasures.
Do you spend more time piling up possessions, or striving to become
more like Christ? The heavens and the Earth which now are, will
be destroyed by fire. This is as sure to come, as is the Truth
and the power of God. We should be secure knowing the Truth: the
Lord is coming!
A NEW
HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH Chapter 9
In the last chapter we saw the Great White Throne Judgment, where
all judgments will be fair, and individual (One on one). ALL
people (none exempt) will finally admit that Jesus is Lord!
Philippians 2:8-11 And being found in fashion
as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross. [9] Wherefore God also hath highly
exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10]
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11]
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. (KJV) EVERY knee
shall bow to Jesus one day! EVERY tongue will confess Jesus as
Lord!
- (1) Christ has
always existed with God.
- (2) Christ is
equal to God because He is God.
- (3) Although Christ
is God, He became a Man so He could fulfill God’s plan
of salvation for all people.
- (4) Christ did
not just have the appearance of being a man; He actually became
human so He could identify with our sins.
- (5) Christ willingly
laid aside His divine rights and privileges out of love for
His Father.
- (6) Christ died
on the cross for our sins so we wouldn’t have to face
eternal death in Hell.
- (7) God exalted
Christ because of His obedience.
- (8) God raised
Christ to His primary position at the Father’s right hand,
where He will reign forever as our Lord and Judge.
Is
it too much for God to ask of us, that we praise Christ as our
Saviour and Lord and dedicate ourselves to His service?
If we ‘say’ that we
are followers of Christ (Christians), we must live as He lived.
We should develop His attitude of love and humility as we serve,
even when we get no recognition for our efforts. Are you selfishly
clinging to your rights? or are you willing to serve the Lord
as you should? Do you acknowledge and admit Christ as Lord now?
this day? Or are you one who will wait until it is too late to
do your soul any good? Your confession of Christ as Saviour and
Lord needs to be NOW! Not at that final judgment! Only Christ
can save your soul from an eternal Hell.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and
a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed
away; and there was no more sea. [KJV]
The apostle John (writer of the
book of Revelation), sees a “new heaven and new Earth”
emerging from the purified mass of the old heaven and Earth. He
then describes New Jerusalem descending toward the new Earth.
This new world will be beautiful beyond words --- in any language!
As many times as I have read about the City of Gold, I simply
cannot picture it in my mind --- no way! Your most extreme thoughts
of beauty and bliss will not be but a flickering candle to this
awesome City! There are not enough words to describe its glorious
array.
There are
many things of beauty that will be there; but there are many things
that will not be there:
- 1. No more sea.
Sea is sometimes a symbol of separation, a barrier, also judgment
(Flood).
- 2. No more death.
- 3. No more sorrow.
- 4. No more crying.
- 5. No more pain.
- 6. No more night.
- 7. No more curse on the ground.
No more sin of any kind (Rev. 21:27); no more violence,
no rebellion, no lawlessness, no immorality in any sense, no more
lies, no murder, no idolaters, no witchcraft or sorcery, no hatred,
no jealousy, no coveting, no Satan to tempt us, nothing bad ever
again!
No temple will be there, for God Himself will be there
with us. No more sun or moon, for God and Christ are all the light
we need.
We will be able to worship God perfectly for His Presence is
there. We will be able to comprehend His awesome glory and majesty
and love in a completely different manner. He will fill us completely
with spiritual joy beyond description. We will willingly and gladly
worship and serve Him each and every day of eternity. Loving adoration
will flow from our hearts when we are in the Presence of our wondrous
Saviour, Jesus. As we gaze tenderly into His beautiful Face, we
will be eternally thankful for all He has done for us.
We will have eternity to get to know our many brothers and sisters
in Christ. What an experience this will be! The warmth of the
love we will have for them all will be amazing.
I believe that the home of the Church (the Body of Christ, the
Bride of Christ), from Pentecost to the Rapture, will be New Jerusalem
(Heaven). I think we will be able to travel freely back and forth
to the New Earth, which will be the home of all the rest of God’s
people (Old Testament and Tribulation saints). There are some
Old Testament people I surely want to meet, Noah and Elijah top
my list! But there are so many more!
Revelation 21:12-13 And had a wall great
and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels,
and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes
of the children of Israel: [13] On the east three gates; on the
north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three
gates. [KJV] New Jerusalem will be the temple or tabernacle
to the children of Israel. Each tribe will have their own gate.
The tribe of Levi was the priesthood in olden times, but in this
golden City, the Church (Bride of Christ) will make up the priesthood.
The Bride will maintain a closer relationship with God in eternity.
1 Peter 2:9-10 But ye are a chosen generation,
a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye
should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light: [10] Which in time past were
not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained
mercy, but now have obtained mercy. [KJV] The Church (Bride
of Christ) are indeed a “chosen generation”
whether they be red, yellow, black or white --- or they are Jews
or Gentiles. Yes, there are Jewish Christians who love the Lord
Jesus just as the non-Jews do. Not many, but some! We have indeed
been called “out of the darkness into His marvelous light.”
Accepting Jesus as Saviour and Lord gives you a great privilege:
being God’s child, part of a holy people and a royal priesthood,
both now and in eternity --- in New Jerusalem!
Revelation 21:24 And the nations of them
which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of
the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. [KJV]
New Jerusalem will be as the sun and moon to the New Earth. The
City, illuminated by God and the Lamb (Rev.21:23), will give light
to the New Earth. Not only will Israel go back and forth to worship
God in New Jerusalem, but the nations (Gentiles) as well. It will
not be their permanent home as I understand it, but everyone on
the New Earth will definitely visit New Jerusalem on a regular
basis, bringing their honor and glory to God and the City.
Those on the New Earth going to New Jerusalem to worship, will
have perfect and direct communion with God. It will be much better
than the Gospel establishments of today. We will more fully understand
the union and equality of the Son with the Father. God in Christ
will be an everlasting Fountain of knowledge, peace and joy to
the saints in Heaven.
There is no night, no need to lock our doors or shut the gates;
all is peaceful and secure. All the residents have been made perfect
in holiness, whereas now we feel a sense of unworthiness which
hinders us in serving our God, and obstructs our closeness with
Him. God’s original purpose for creating mankind (fellowship)
will finally be achieved in a right and eternal fashion.
“Even
so, come, Lord Jesus.”
